*If you practice kendo elsewhere you are welcome to join us during the current quarter, provided you pay the Parks and Recreation Department drop-in fee of $10.
*After paying the Parks and Recreation drop-in fee, please then report to Imanishi Sensei prior to the start of keiko.
Fees
- Tuition fees for class lessons (practices) are about $80 per quarter. Students enroll each quarter and pay the tuition fee to the Mercer Island Parks and Recreation Department. Call 206.275.7609 for more information or to register. This registration fee also covers Saturday practices at the Nisei Veterans Committee Memorial Hall.
- Cascade Kendo Kai Dojo Annual Dues are $10 per family. Membership in Cascade Kendo Kai is not required for enrollment in Kendo classes however, membership entitles you to equipment discounts.
- Pacific Northwest Kendo Federation (PNKF) and the All United States Kendo Federation (ASUKF) annual membership fees are $70 for adults and either $40 or $70 for children under 18 depending on their rank. Membership in PNFK and ASUKF is not required for enrollment in Kendo classes however, both memberships provide a variety of benefits and are required for promotional exams and tournament participation.

All participants including those who "drop-in" MUST complete and have on file, a Waiver and Release form each quarter. Click here to download the appropriate form.
Visitors
All visitors who practice kendo elsewhere are welcome, provided they pay the Parks and Recreation Department drop-in fee of $10.
